Dr. Larson performed his internship and residency training in Charlotte, NC at the Carolinas Medical Center, a nationally recognized training program with strong clinical, surgical, and research training. It was there that he discovered his love for hand anatomy and hand surgery, and upon graduating he returned to Ohio for 1 year of specialized training at the Mary S. Stern Hand & Upper Extremity Fellowship in Cincinnati.
In 2013, Dr. Larson began practice in Denton, bringing his surgical knowledge and skill as Denton’s only full-time orthopedic hand surgeon with specialized training in complex disorders of the hand, wrist, and elbow, including advanced training in endoscopic carpal tunnel release, wrist and elbow arthroscopy, surgical, percutaneous and collagenase treatment (Xiaflex) for Dupuytren’s disease, and specialized care for fractures and trauma to the hand and upper extremity. This complements his advanced training in finger, thumb, wrist, and elbow arthritis treatment, including joint replacement, thumb basilar joint arthroplasty, and minimally invasive treatment of tendon disorders of the upper extremity.
Aside from enjoying a busy and rewarding orthopedic practice, Dr. Larson enjoys spending time with his wife and children, running and participating in Ironman triathlons, playing tennis and pickle ball, serving as a youth basketball and volleyball coach, and traveling.

Andra is a 1995 graduate of the the University of North Texas School of Community Service where she obtained her Bachelor degree. She was named Outstanding Undergraduate Student in her Rehabilitation Studies program. She went on to attend Texas Women’s University and graduated Summa cum Laude in 1997 with her Master of Occupational Therapy degree.
While Andra’s career includes working for several large hospital systems, the last twelve years have been spent in an outpatient setting as a hand therapist. Her focus has included orthopedic and neurological injuries, sports medicine, work with musicians and an interest in post surgical recovery. In 2011 Andra passed a comprehensive test of advanced clinical skills and theory in upper quarter rehabilitation to become a Certified Hand Therapist.
Andra views therapy as a partnership between therapist and patient. Her role is to provide the anatomical knowledge, treatment understanding and therapy skills needed to progress a person through their recovery process so they can return to their favorite activities, perform their daily tasks, and help prevent future injuries as well.
Andra is proud to call Denton her home of almost thirty years. She lives locally with her husband, two teenage sons and dogs, Fiona and Kira. If you can’t find her reading or walking, she will see her in the stands cheering on her sons.
